Kas, Turkey
When November descends upon Kas, a charming town on Turkey’s southwestern coast, the warmth of summer lingers, with Mediterranean-themed outdoor activities!
This is fascinating, given that you can also find snow in Turkey in November; but Kas’s southern position ensures that it holds onto warm weather for as long as possible.
The town’s pebbly beaches, such as Kaputas Beach and Big Pebble Beach, retain their inviting allure.
The clear turquoise waters may be slightly cooler than in the peak summer months, but you can still take a swim!
A short boat ride away, Kekova Island is well worth visiting.
Here lie the sunken ruins of Dolchiste, an ancient town that was destroyed by an earthquake during the 2nd century.
Back in Kas, a walk through its narrow streets and marvel at the town’s traditional architecture, its buildings awash in warm hues, contrasting beautifully with the cobalt blue of the sea and sky.
Scuba diving is still a possibility in November, too – Kas is one of the best places for diving in Turkey.
