About Europe in winter
Europe: it’s a beautiful, fascinating region that’s brimming with history, culture, great food and phenomenal landscapes. Tourists flock to the continent in the summer months – but what about during winter?
There’s a certain magic to Europe during this time. Festive celebrations spring up all over the continent in November and December, there are snowsports opportunities in the mountainous regions and further south in the continent, you can soak up some winter sun.
Plus, visiting Europe in winter is an amazing opportunity to see top attractions without hoards of tourists.
I’m a big fan of visiting Europe in the cooler months. So I decided to create this blog, that’s dedicated solely towards winter Europe travel!
Who are we?
We are the only travel blog out there that focuses purely on travel to Europe during the winter months. When it comes to winter travel tips in Europe, you can trust us! We also:
- hire local writers (at fair prices!) who can offer insider, expert knowledge into each destination
- support local and sustainable businesses
- donate a percentage of our profits to local charities
About the owner
My name’s Claire, and I’m a Europe local, avid winter traveller and serial website owner!
I grew up in London and live in South West England. I’ve travelled all over Europe, mainly by bus and train, and have spend a lot of time on the continent in winter, skiing, frequenting Christmas markets and soaking up winter sun.
When I’m not travelling or working on my many websites, I love reading, learning languages, cooking and going to the gym.
You can take a look at my overland travel website here or my website about travel in South West England here.
Or, carry on reading this website, which is an extensive collection of both my own travel experiences in Europe in winter and fantastic tips from locals.
